We stock both new and reclaimed Garden Railway Sleepers for general garden use or building work.

New Railway Sleepers

These do not contain any tar and are used for landscape gardening, retaining soil and childrens play areas, they are safe to handle and can be used where they are in contact with people and animals.

Reclaimed Railway Sleepers

These have been treated with tar, and you need to keep this in your mind if you are going to be in close contact with them as the tar can get on your hands and clothes. We do not advise the use of reclaimed sleepers for childrens play areas or animal areas, or areas where contamination is an issue.
